SWEDISH MASSAGE--is often recognized by its dance-like, flowing style. The intention of Swedish is to increase circulation by moving blood and lymph. It uses a soothing manipulation of the muscles and other soft tissues to relieve tension and encourage relaxation through a holistic approach.
DEEP TISSUE MASSAGE--focuses on lengthening, spreading and differentiating the fascia of the body. Many receivers of this work describe it as a more intense session bringing about heightened awareness, increased flexibility, increased range of motion, & relief from chronic postural habits. This work is slow and deep in nature and requires the practitioner to listen closely to the client's body.
SPORTS MASSAGE--focuses on aiding people with active lifestyles who run, lift weights, practice yoga, and do any sort of vigorous physical activity. In combination with Swedish and deep tissue massage techniques, Sports Massage utilizes stretching and range of motion to help keep the client in a limber and ready state for the demands of physical exertion.

I seek to provide a safe, comfortable and relaxing environment for my clients. I adhere to the AMTA code of ethics in my work.
Recently I've added a few modalities to my repetoire.
After training with Shannon Gilmartin of Modern Cupping Therapy, I now integrate cupping into my therapeutic session.
Cupping is an ancient technique with lifts the tissue with applied suction and helps with pain, inflammation, digestive problems, circulation and stress relief.
Having studied this form in Chang Mai, Thailand at the International Training Massage School, I offer sessions in Thai massage, which incorporates Hatha Yoga and acupressure. For these session the client brings or wears comfortable loose clothing for the session.
Why Massage?
Massage has been used to help heal, condition, and aide the body for thousands of years.
Many see massage as a luxury to be indulged in occasionally, but the investment in regular bodywork can increase the body's flexibility, strength, circulation, and overall health.
